Chapter 1

The Dwarven Hammer

Chapter 1

Strong and damp, awesome and indefeatable, stood the Lios-alfar light elf, named Edman, and a magical wizard known as Samuel. They camped out at the entwined magic and twisted oak on the side of the path; the best tree in Lady's Combe.

One wet damp day the magical wizard (Samuel) took one look at the rain and dreaded the rest of the day, because he knew his weapon would backfire in that sort of weather. Then suddenly Samuel had a flashback. He remembered the day he had killed the evil unicorn, the guy behind 9, 11, and saw the magic dwarven hammer under the female holly at the end of the path, he had to get that hammer, and Sam knew it could cast spells in sun, rain or snow!

Then Samuel rushed over to Edman screaming” Ed quick, grab your stuff were moving!” “What are you talking about now?” asked Edman, in a confused way.
“Rain, weapons, svarts!” explained Samuel.
“Fine.” moaned Ed.
So with that they grabbed their stuff went to set off but a deep and fearsome voice booming from the distance stopped them in their tracks.

“Quick, hide!” whispered Sam, “It's the svarts” (evil elves and goblins). Sam and Ed rapidly ascended up the twisted oak tree and hid amongst the leaves. Samuel peered down and saw that the svarts had the magic dwarven hammer.

When the svarts became no longer visible the two Lios-alfar heroes hopped back down the tree and picked up a handful of wood sorrel (apple flavoured acid plant, looks like a 3 leafed clover) then shoved it in their magic mouth.

Chapter 2

After they had left the magic entwined oak they were quite upset to leave their home but they had to get the svarts. As they stumbled down the soggy muddy path they realised the svarts were now in sight so they quickly skipped off of the track and hid behind the sturdy arch bench (which was not much of a hiding place) right beside the path.

On the outside Sam and Ed were braver than an English warrior; on the inside they were mice chasing cheese on a cat's tail and they knew it.

Then, Edman clambered up the tree just behind them, produced an arrow from his quiver, attached it to his bow, pulled back the string and shot it with pure accuracy…

…The flaming arrow pierced through the air at tremendous speed and sank into the grubby and green, rude and revolting goblin's neck. He was dead.

“Strike” shouted Edman, as the disgusting creature crashed to the ground with a mighty THUD!!!

The next thing he saw was a group of svarts hurrying towards the Gurt Worm trail. The wizard legged it after the monsters. The archer was still descending from the tree, he did not stop to rub down the loose bark that clung to his cloak. He just ran, trying to chase down the villains.

Chapter 3

As the Archer and wizard approached, the two remaining goblins and the evil svart hunter (armed with the dwarven hammer) leaped out from their hiding spot and swung the hammer. A massive ray swooped round all the forest transforming most of the trees in sight into ASH, whilst Sam and Ed skipped over it like it was a rolling pencil.

There were a few trees left lower down the hill but one stood out like a sore thumb; it was a thin white birch, Ed thought it was beautiful. Ed stared at this amazing birch tree, it was like his eyes were super-glued to it.

Then the awful svart Hunter aimed the dwarven hammer with amazing accuracy and turned the tree into black ashes. Edman felt a tear fill his left eye. Edman had to leave the tree as it was. They carried on fighting down the track slipping and dodging all the way.

Chapter 4

As the Lios-alfar reached the epicormic growth (a reaction from a disease on a tree that looks like a witch's broom) they were still using magic rays, short range force fields and burning arrows!

Edman was doing tremendous damage to the dwarven hammer and the svart hunter. The goblins knew they had to help out otherwise their leader would be dead meat and so would they!

So with that the two goblins ran between this historical battle, over to their opposition's side. They grabbed Edman's bow and lobbed it high in the sky…

…The bow fell at the speed of light and slammed down hard on Sam's magic staff. His look of surprise immediately changed to confidence because of what was about to happen. He bellowed, “CONKILLER!”

Then the staff and bow combined powers which made a long range burning force field!

The force field blew the svart and goblins out of sight but of course the hammer was on the ground, like it was there before.

Sam and Ed trudged over to the hammer, limping, and picked it up. They raised the hammer above their heads and screamed, “Victory is ours!!”

Chapter 5

After killing the svarts, Sam and Ed carried on down the path (armed with the best weapon in history) and found 2 hollies, male and female, the one with the red berries being female and the bare one being male. They carefully placed the hammer under the female holly where Sam had found it in the first place.

Samuel and Edman decided just because they were the best they didn't have to live in the best tree or house or magic mansion. So they agreed to stay on top of the hollies to guard the hammer for eternity.
