The Frozen Forest - Issy

The lichen encrusted tree, which was twisted, had a hammock branch coming off of it that was covered in ivy and moss. Thick snow coated the branch and the carpet of oak leaves in the den. The blazing fire glistened in the two dragons' eyes.


The Dragons' luminous green scales shimmered in the night sky. The two dragons were called Fire Breath and Lava Stone,this winter the dragons were hiding from Jack frost! The fire was keeping the dragons warm from the eternal Winter.

The ancient oak stood tall with millions of bats peering out of Jack Frost's lair! Branches' were covered in snow. Everything was camouflaged into the distance. Star moss peeped through the thick layer of snow that lay on the ground.

The gleaming, glistening, shimmering Ice Palace stood in the tall twisted oak trees,higher than anything else in the forest.


Obnoxious and aggressive, swift and small,Jack Frost was sitting in his lair. The bright aqua blue blazer covering his turquoise shirt was sticking to his frosty,bumpy skin. Jacks sparkling golden crown sat on his dark'ish blue hair that was also frosty. Frost's wings were navy blue with an evil feel to them. Now last about Frost was his powers. The dragon's were hiding because of Jack Frost! Jack Frost was waiting for the right time to act and freeze the forest to keep the eternal Winter
BUT WHEN WILL JACK ACT?

Here is Jack Frost's ICE PALACE!

The gleaming, glistening, shimmering ice palace stood in the tall, twisted oak trees higher than anything else in the Quantock forest.
Tall and scary, icey and blue, the palace was Jack Frost's lair!

One night, when the dragons were sleeping, Jack Frost trudged towards the dragons den and started flying
“I'LL FREEZE YOU!” Jack Frost Bellowed “I'LL FREEZE THE FOREST!"

Suddenly Jack's powers began to freeze everything, including the dragons. They awakened and were horrified.
“MMMMWWWWWHHHHAAAAAAHHHHHHAAAAA!”Jack chuckled “YOUR FOREST HAS BEEN FROZEN, MWHHHAAA”
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” Both dragon's screamed in unison."Why are you so mean Jack!"

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH ”Jack shouted “HOW ARE YOU GOING TO SAVE YOUR FOREST NOW? MWHHHAAA I'M THE KING OF THE UNIVERSE NOW I'VE FROZEN HERE, I CAN FREEZE EVERYWHERE”
The sound echoed through the forest as the forest as the fire slowly flickered out…


The powers flooded out of Jack's hands and chilled everything.

The lichen hid under the ice.
The fire was out.
THE SNOW STOPPED!
Everywhere was FROZEN.
And everywhere was silent.

“Our home!” lava stone whispered, under his breath.

"I'LL GET YOU!"

“Oh no you don't Jack Frost!”Fire breath shouted



“Catch me if you can, hahahaha!” Jack screamed, he flew up and around and under the ice palace, the dragons followed him up and down and under the ice palace until both dragons ran out of breath."Can't catch me...hahahahaha"

"No...we...can't... but...that...does...not...mean... you ...can ...freeze... everything,"Fire breath panted, running out of breath himself.

"MMMWWWWWAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"Jack chuckled "I'm the king now and you dragons are going to freeze!"and with that he flew away back to his Ice Palace.


The ice white, frozen snow made the dragons shiver and now the fire is out what will keep them warm?

Before they went to sleep fire breath nodded at lava stone. " I..i..i..guess this is goodbye"Fire breath said getting quieter each word.
"no, no, no wait!"



5:30 DRAGONS' DEN:SNOWY

"Wake up, wake up, wake up!" Lava Stone whispered in the snow "I've had an idea!"

"Am I alive? am I alive"fire breath spoke, curled up " I am...I am...I'm I'm I'm alive!"

"LISTEN" Lava stone whispered.
They talked and talked and discussed until night fell upon them .

"We will do it in the morning"Fire breath announced and they both drifted off to sleep the cold shivering them.

6:55 am DRAGONS DEN

"Morning Fire Breath," Lava Stone shouted " Are you ready!"

The plan was to use their fire powers. ( That they had forgotten about) They would use them to break off the ice from the twisted oak trees and free the sticky slippery muddy ground.

LET THE PLAN COMMENCE!


"Mwhhahhahahahahhahahah,cough,cough!" spluttered Frost from his rooftop balcony of his ice palace. "Those dragons cant stop me now hhahhahahahhaha cough cough...I think I need a doctor!"

When Jack frost flew to the dragons' den he noticed that they weren't there.

" Hello Frost" Fire Breath shouted,startling him

"How did you get there? I thought I killed you with my powers" He said with anger

"Whos's going to save you? You evil wizard" Lava Stone bellowed

The den was now covered in ice and frost.

"You cant stop me hahahah"Frost yelled

In the flick of a switch fire drifted out of the dragons mouths and onto the forest,being carefull not to set the forest alight and all the frost melted away and dripped off the den.
"Sorry Jack! Who cant stop you"

"Arrrggghhh my precious powers nooooooooo"
Jacks powers disappeared and now the dragons knew how to save an eternal winter.THE QUESTION IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?

Lady's Combe was now guarded by the finest most brave and most powerful dragons in the universe and that Jack Frost never bothered the two most bravest dragons again.

"looks like we've got our home back"
"yeah all back to normal!"

From then on everything was warm and calm and winter only came once a year!
